Research and Evaluation collaborates with all of Safe Horizon’s programs on many projects, large and small. One fun way that we sometimes get to collaborate is in co-presenting work we’ve done with programs at conferences. An upcoming opportunity we’re very excited about is the National Children’s Alliance Leadership Conference taking place in Washington, D.C. June 5-8, 2016.
Regularly taking a look at the information we collect as part of our work has helped us think about our work differently and has given rise to practical changes; like making sure we check in with families and children about the language they’re most comfortable speaking in and standardizing our practice to make sure we are consistent in letting families know about how and when our teams share information. This practice has also meant that we are regularly taking the time to think about how we can be sure we’re providing the absolute highest quality support to the families that come through our doors.
We’re really looking forward to sharing practical advice for integrating data into program practice no matter the size of the organization and can’t wait to hear from other organizations about how they’ve been using data to enhance the quality of services provided to children and families across the nation.
