Safe Horizon is fighting for crucial new legislation in New York: the Adult Survivor’s Act (ASA).
This proposed law would create a special one-year look-back window to allow individuals who were 18 or older when they were sexually assaulted to file a lawsuit against the person – or the negligent institution – who harmed them.
Safe Horizon partners with governmental and other community agencies and also advocates for policies on a local, state, and national level on behalf of those affected by violence and abuse. We are advocating for more of New York’s sexual assault survivors to be able to obtain justice. Will you please help?
Please make a gift now to strengthen Safe Horizon’s voice in Albany – and to let all survivors know you’re with them and they’re not alone.
